It was very convenient as we were participating in a cycling tour that began and finished along the road, on which the hotel is located. Staff were very co operative as we needed breakfast at a very early time of 6 45
Corridors and rooms were musty.. A more substantial breakfast.
I would not classify it as a hotel. It is very shabby and has a musty smell in the corridor and the bedroom. There was no hot water in the bath or the handbasin and water in shower was only lukewarm. As I was getting into the shower, I slipped and fell backwards onto the bathroom floor and suffered injuries to my left hand and shoulder. When I mentioned this at reception, the receptionist told me I should have put one of the towels provided into the bath prior to the shower!!! I will certainly never stay there again and would not recommend it to anyone.
I didn't like my stay there whatsoever. I would not recommend that kip to my worst enemy. I thought it was outrageous what I was charged. I wasnt even given a choice for breakfast, just handed a fry. I had no coffee/tea facilities in the room.
The best thing i can say about the hotel was the bar was very nice and there was great trad music on the 2 nights i was staying there. It was located 5 mins from killarney centre.
While the room itself was comfortable, it badly needs a refurbishment. The decor looked like something from the 70,s and the tele was just awful. The shower could not be adjusted and was awkward for a tall person. Using a key with a large door number on it was annoying.to carry around. Finally there was a mix up with the pricing for the 2 nights i stayed there and i will have to check the credit card to ensure i wasnt over priced.
Staff generally ok and Friendly
Dark and Dingy would not reccommend any body to stay there
the good thing about that place was location and staff was nice
the price for d room was too expensive, the room was smelly and with old furniture, there were nice b&b across d road for 1/2 price we paid... our room was on the ground floor, it was very loud from the kitchen and ppl could look through the window into our room... there was no shampoo in d bathroom and one bath towel and one one small piece of soop for the two of us...
the location - although not as central as promised, the bar and live music - very good, ok prices for drinks in the bar.
wet towels, meaty breakfast, extremely loud banging doors and rattling keys thoughout the whole night, no safe or coffee making facilities, too expensive for what it had on offer!
Very dissapointed with Hotel.Turned on the bath one night and it filled with dirty water.
there did not seem to be any manager or anybody in charge.Bedroom very small and clammy. No comfortable lounge area to relax.Overall our stay was very dissapointing. We even used the hotel across the road for relaxation.
Staff were very friendly, I was supporting somebody with disabilities and the staff were very patient and friendly with him.
central location, there was music in the bar on saturday night and the band were excellent
the tv was tiny , there was only 4 channels , the room was small and the double bed was 2 singles pushed together
Have to say i/we liked nothing about this hotel, in my honest opinion this should not be classed as a hotel at all.
Lots to dislike about this so called hotel, namely the smell that hits you when you walk up the stairs to the rooms, also the bed seen better days and the whole place needs the painters in asap.
Good location within walking distance of Killarney town. Good breakfast and friendly staff.
Room was in need of redecoration, no lift making it difficult with small children and strollers. But to be fair there are only two floors so for most people this will not be a problem.
Nothing, it should not be operating as a hotel,
We were shocked on our arrival, no reception area, had to wait for a Bar staff member to attend to us, we were directed to room 202 which was no better than a squat, curtains falling off window, window full of condensation and mouldy, we requested a better room which we were given, it was only marginally better but we suffered it for one night only, the musty and mouldy smell everywhere was sickening. We checked out the next morning paid sixty euro cash and put our stay down to a bad experience. The two ladies on duty were pleasant and as helpful as possible under the circumstances.
